Join us upstairs at The Distillers, Hammersmith for the Hammersmith Jazz Jam, a monthly gathering of musicians and jazz lovers alike.

What to Expect

Held on the last Tuesday of every month, each Jazz Jam kicks off at 7:30 PM and features the resident Distillers House Trio—three highly accomplished musicians deeply rooted in London’s jazz scene:

• Marcus James – Pianist with WestSideJazz and other West London groups, drawing influence from legends like Wynton Kelly and Bill Evans.

• James Royan (Jamie) – A versatile bassist with a background spanning jazz, rock, and classical. Regular performer with ensembles like 59 de Ville, Jazz Mondays, and The Ealing Very Senior Hot Jazz Orchestra.

• Alex Ellerington – A dynamic drummer with a love for Afro-Cuban rhythms and big band swing, and a founding member of Latin jazz group Banda Bomba.

Join the stage

Whether you're a seasoned pro or an enthusiastic amateur, you're welcome to bring your instrument and join in—or just sit back, grab a drink, and soak in the sounds.

The event takes place upstairs in the function room, creating an intimate space perfect for live jazz and collaboration.
