What happens to four of Shakespeare’s most enigmatic, controversial women - Portia, Juliet, Ophelia, and Lady Macbeth - after they cross the ultimate threshold? 

When they mysteriously stumble across each other in the same shadowy realm, they are forced to confront the echoes of their final, desperate acts together - unravelled by the secrets and sorrows contained in the books they carry - the stories that have bound them to their fate. In this afterlife, they are confronted by a new set of questions: will they stay haunted by what they left behind? Can they find redemption? And what fate awaits them now?

This new play by American playwright Sofie Berg intertwines Shakespeare’s text with a fresh perspective, brought to life by four emerging LAMDA graduates in a lyrical exploration of these women’s untold stories.
